Zelda has an ‘extremely special place’ in the heart of Cadence of Hyrule’s guitarist

With the recent launch of Cadence of Hyrule on Nintendo Switch, many contributors of the game’s soundtrack have come forward to announce their involvement.

Jules Conroy was the guitarist for Crypt of the NecroDancer, so it makes sense that he would return for the Zelda-themed sequel. He shared his joy and gratitude for his opportunity to work on the game in a new YouTube video.

“I grew up with Zelda,” he says. “My first game ever was The Legend of Zelda for the NES, and the first game I ever beat was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. So Zelda has an extremely special place in my heart, and has been a very important part of my whole upbringing.”

It was also confirmed that Conroy’s partner, vocalist Adriana Figueroa, lent her voice to Cadence of Hyrule’s soundtrack.

Recently, Conroy collaborated with legendary composer Grant Kirkhope for a metal cover of Banjo-Kazooie’s “Final Battle” theme — a very welcome surprise given the reveal of the bear and bird’s inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during the E3 Direct.
