Nintendo Switch tops sales in Japan for 15th consecutive month

For the 15th straight month, the Nintendo Switch rules over Japan as the best-selling console. It sold 141,953 units in May — less than April’s count of 183,397 but still nearly triple the number of PS4s sold.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, Nintendo also held four of the top five spots for best-selling games. Days Gone for the PS4 was the loner, sitting atop the field at number one and beating out Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

To round it all out, Nintendo led all publishers by a landslide when it came to selling games. They sold over 326,000, more than 150,000 games than the next two publishers combined.

With Cadence of Hyrule expected to come out later this month and a rumored 20 plus new games for the Switch to be shown at E3 next week, it doesn’t look like Nintendo’s sales will slow down anytime soon.
