In the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct Nintendo touted the mind-boggling number of stages (over 100!) that will be available in the game. Most of these stages are returning ones, representing the span of the franchise’s history from the N64 to the Wii U and 3DS. Of course things have changed since the 64-bit days, and while Nintendo has sought to retain the nostalgic feel of the older stages, comparisons are inevitable.
Luckily for we detail-hungry Smashers GameXplain has put together a pair of videos comparing the new generation of Super Smash Bros. stages to their previous Wii U and 3DS iterations. The striking differences between the 3DS and Switch stages are to be expected, but fans of the Wii U stages will find plenty of visual improvements as well. Check out the videos below to find your new favorite stage.
