The latest update for Super Smash Bros Ultimate has gone live. Version 8.1.0 includes Small Battlefield as a new stage, and now allows the player to select all music tracks when playing on Final Destination and Battlefield stages.
This means you’ll be able to rock out to some legendary video game music, including compositions from the Zelda series!
The update also improves the online user experience, by adjusting matchmaking while searching with Preferred Rules in effect. Additionally, the threshold for attaining Elite Smash status has been recalculated to allow more players to join the ranks. In the patch notes, Nintendo has stated that more changes could potentially be made to online play.
Furthermore, there have been some minor fixes to issues that should improve the overall gameplay experience. While this isn’t explained in the official notes for this patch, it’s nice to know that Nintendo is listening to player feedback.
