Last week, The Game Theorists finally tackled the timeline placement of Breath of the Wild. Their theory is hardly definitive, but it has renewed the debate over the game’s placement in the chronology of the series.

The placement of Breath of the Wild is particularly difficult because of conflicting information that suggests placement in any of the three timelines. This has even led to some prominent theories that the story takes place in a world where the three timelines have merged back into one.

The Game Theorists argued that Breath of the Wild belongs in the Downfall Timeline, but Zeltik has prepared a counter argument suggesting that Breath of the Wild takes place in the Child Timeline. There’s plenty of evidence for the Adult Timeline as well, so for now the debate rages on.

    I still believe it is old hyrule in the adult timeline. Because of the Koroks, Rito and Rocksalt.

    First Chu Chus are in zelda one and zelda 2 . They may have different names but there’s a same none the less. 2nd and this is just a personal Theory but I feel that breath of the wild is simply a remake with a new Twist on the original Legend of Zelda
