Two-man indie video game development team, Woke Interactive, have recently announced a Zelda-inspired action adventure game for PC titled Aendis – The Black Gate.

Along with the announcement, the developer has launched a new website for the game and released the first trailer.

The game is still in the early development stages, and there is no word on a possible release date. However, you can clearly see the inspiration pulled from The Legend of Zelda in what little information we have. Take a look at their website to read up on some story and world details as well as to see some additional screenshots. This is a game you may want to keep your eye on this year!

You can tell it’s inspired by Zelda because the trailer ends with an enemy with one giant eye.

Nawbutreally, seems neat! It could use a bit of polish, especially with the main character’s face, but it certainly looks like it has good potential.

    A two man team…
Nice so far, and with a lot of well directed time and effort, this could have potential to be very good indeed.

Zelda inspired? Yes! Battle dynamics copied? Yes! A bad thing? NO!

Banjo Kazooie was a copy of Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing was a copy of Mario Kart. Many great games have been straight up copies… Did it hurt those copied? Not at all.

I await another vid of the next level of development, and a fresh build.
Oh, and good luck to them for trying!
