While Hyrule Warriors Legends will be coming to the West on March 25, we haven’t heard too much new information since the game’s Japanese release. That all changed with the latest Nintendo Direct that showed off even more DLC coming to the game.
The Nintendo 3DS port will already be arriving with all of the Wii U version’s DLC included at no additional cost. Much of that DLC was given out through a season pass available via the eShop at the time. We’ve now learned Hyrule Warriors Legends will have a similar season pass. Starting on launch day, gamers can purchase the pass that will net them four brand-new DLC packs that will be released over the course of 2016. Alternatively, the bundles can be purchased individually but you may pay more out of pocket.
Like the Wii U version, buying the season pass also rewards you with an exclusive costume. This time, Ganondorf gets a skin fitting of the new Wind Waker content introduced in the 3DS version. This is something I’ve been waiting for ever since we learned of the new content!
Physical launch copies of Hyrule Warriors Legends will also include a code for a free 3DS theme, as well as codes for transferring the new content to the Wii U version should you own it. Don’t forget: a pre-order at GameStop will get you a softcover book that includes concept art and character details.
Finally, a new free character will be “flying in” to both the Wii U and 3DS versions. Armed with her harp, Medli will be arriving alongside the first DLC pack.
No specific dates, pricing, or content information were given for any of the new DLC packs or the season pass, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn more. Who or what are you hoping to see?
