Operation Moonfall artist presents beautiful posters for fan game “The Legend of Link”

Back before Majora’s Mask 3D became a reality and finally left our hearts at ease upon its release, you may recall a prominent project in the Zelda community by the name of Operation Moonfall. This campaign aimed to raise Nintendo’s awareness of the fan demand for a Majora’s Mask remake, and a KickStarter was launched to send out stunning custom-made posters of the game to the company and project backers. The talented artist behind those prints, Lyndon Willoughby, is now back with an all-new Zelda-themed project.

If you’re a fan of his work, you’ll be pleased to hear that you can now get your hands on some new amazing prints. This time, the art is based on last year’s popular fan-made ROM, The Legend of Link. Utilising the original Zelda game engine, the game features overhauled graphics, music and gameplay to provide an authentic retro experience, capturing what a “Zelda III” could have been like.

The art itself features a silhouetted Link — based on official artwork of the original Zelda — with a looming Ganon looking ominously over him. The piece is presented in an awesome stained glass window, truly capturing the essence of the word “Legend” in the title of our favourite franchise. Prints are available in a limited run right now at Rose Colored Gaming for $49.99, each one signed and numbered. Hurry if you want one on your wall; only 60 have been produced!
