Roger DiLuigi sings For Glory, a Smash Bros. Hunger Games parody

Strange matches happened there no stranger would it be,

If we met at midnight online For Glory.

Super Smash Bros. is kind of like the The Hunger Games — competitors enter an arena and fight until there’s only one survivor. Paying tribute to the latest Hunger Games film, Mockingjay, YouTubers Roger DiLuigi, Danny Lopatka and Sam Yung have put together a song entitled “For Glory” parodying “The Hanging Tree” from the recent hit movie.

The lyrics led by Roger DiLuigi are a bit less foreboding than those sung by Katniss Everdeen, but with popular Smash quotes thrown in such as “I fight for my friends” and “Show me you moves!”, “For Glory” still captures the spirit of battle.

We featured a Zelda rap by Roger DiLuigi earlier this year. He’s an incredible singer who has several other parodies and covers, including a Mario Kart version of “For the First Time in Forever” from Disney’s Frozen, and a Mega Man parody of “No More” from Into the Woods. Be sure to check out the rest of his music after you enjoy “For Glory”, below!
