I am 90% sure that you’ll find Fi far less irritating in the new Hyrule Warriors trailer, and 100% certain that those Bokoblins don’t stand a chance against her deadly moves.

The Skyward Sword character takes a break from the mathematics for today and instead decides to show off her combat skills. Fi dances through hordes of enemies with the grace of a ballerina, and can conveniently transform into a sword and swing herself at her foes.

It’s rather bizarre to watch Fi go nuts against a horde instead of spouting senseless statistics; but ultimately rather amusing. I have to say, I’m rather intrigued to try her out.

We also have some higher resolution scans of the Famitsu pages that revealed Fi as a playable character last week, thanks to Nintendo Everything. Now we have a clearer look at Fi, the Imprisoned and Ghirahim in artwork and screenshots. Seems like Link will be able to wield a hefty ball and chain, too! Wow, never thought that Fi would be actually useful in a battle (jus kidding XD). She looks very fun to play as, although the music of the trailer seems a little bit off (I didn’t liked it)…

    • Reece Heather

It certainly seemed oddly sinister for a character like Fi. I can dig it, but I agree it’s a little out of place — like it was taken straight out of Metroid Prime.

      • Justin Graham

Warriors soundtracks tend to tie their music to the stage rather than the character (with some exceptions). This is probably music intended for a Skyward Sword-themed stage, sort of like how the remix of the TP overworld theme played during Agitha’s trailer.

        • Loki_GFS

Yes, I noticed it, but still, if that’s supposed to be the Sealed Temple main theme, it still feels a little bit off, specially because, at least in the trailer, they show Faron Woods part more than the Sealed Temple (or Sealed Grounds).

I’m wondering if link is the only one that can change his armemant or not… No one else seems to have as many weapons as him

    • Loki_GFS

Well, Zelda has the Wind Waker. We’re going to see if there’s any more weapon for the rest of the characters.

      • 18esundstrom

some of the other characters have more weapons, they just havent been revealed yet. for example, in one of the gameplay videos from e3 i think, when Midna is chosen, she has two weapon options, the shackle, and ???

        • Loki_GFS

Yes, I noticed, although there are some characters (like Midna and Fi) that I just can’t imagine them using another weapon. XD

  • justinpr1234

with the ball and chain he has gloves which might be the gloves from OOT that lift heavy stuff look at the picture of link lifting that piller as a wepon

  • Ryan Haney

Her stats weren’t “senseless”, they were helpful.

    • Reece Heather

I don’t actually dislike Fi, as popular as it is to have that demeanour. It’s rare that I find her percentages useful, but I do enjoy and appreciate them as her character’s gimmick. 🙂

    • 18esundstrom

i agree with that. and even if they were senseless, its not like she was shoving them down your throat. you had the option to listen to them or not.

  • Graphics are nice and I like the beat of it’s abilities.

  • norebo

Music reminds me of Metroid Prime.

Fi is looking good in this game, finally we see her in action…..I’ve always wondered how she would fight independent of Link.

  • nightkyubii

I kinda liked fi at the end of skyward sword because the sadness I thought she was supposed to fade away and based of these trailers, I don’t see any insight on the huge overworld in the trailer with the robot and lin

  • Hyrule Warriors trailer. I like watch it
