Great news has arrived for those that are anticipating the new Hyrule Warriors game, Age of Imprisonment. The Nintendo Direct today was a whopping 60 minutes full of exciting new games, DLC and other surprises such as the mention of the new Super Mario Bros. movie coming out next year. Amongst the many games that were shown, we got a new trailer for Age of Imprisonment that gave us all-new looks at some of the gameplay and the Sages from Tears of the Kingdom, as well as another look at the mysterious construct that was teased at the end of the last trailer they released. Not only that but we also got a release date for the game which turns out to be November 6, 2025 and pre-orders for the game go live today on Nintendo’s website.

A big highlight from this trailer came from another look at the new construct teased from the last trailer. This time they showed it displaying a form that looks like it utilizes wings and Zonai devices in a manner that lets it fly like some sort of Canonball-Iron Man hybrid. It’s shown flying loops around what seems to be a Frost Gleeok suggesting that maybe there will be some sort of aerial combat or at least an air combo system which is not unlike Warriors games of the past such as One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. As the construct flies around, it then starts to go into a nosedive and transforms into a more humanoid form that seems to be wearing a toga of sorts, similar to the ones that the Zonai wore in Tears of the Kingdom. Either way, it’s giving many hope that this will either be a new character or some new version of Link that we will get to play. In two months, this mystery will come to light.

The new trailer showcases a lot of new information for us to dive into. New abilities can be used with the Zonai devices like the fan to bring forth a vortex of wind or the hydrant to release gushing water. It also displays new team up attacks called Sync Strikes, which can be utilized when teammates are near each other. These new attacks can be devastating depending on the pair, and they have a variety of effects. Plus, we get to see more characters than we originally thought such as a cute little Korok who seems ready to seek revenge on all those who like to strap rockets to its fellow Koroks’ backs. If you like to watch the trailer, check out the link below as we await the countdown to November 6!
