Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions tour announced

The creative team that delivered the highly successful The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses tour has a new project up their sleeves — or perhaps more appropriately, their pockets. Since 1996, Pokémon has given us countless hours of gaming fun, plus a delightful soundtrack. Premiering this summer is Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions, an orchestral concert tour showcasing music from the beloved series. Fans can expect music ranging from the early days of Pokémon Red and Blue, all the way up through today’s Pokémon X and Y.

The concert makes its debut on August 15 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC. This kicks off the 2014 Pokémon World Championships, also held in DC, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on August 16-17. Another performance is scheduled on September 19 in Philadelphia, Pa. More tour dates will soon be announced on their website.
