Symphony of the Goddesses composer debuting new arrangement for Majora’s Mask 20th anniversary

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a hold on live concerts for the foreseeable future. However, thanks to the Internet, we can still see excellent musicians perform live. Ben Emberley, one of the composers and arrangers for the Symphony of the Goddesses live tour, will be debuting a new work for the 20th anniversary of Majora’s Mask

The piece, called “The Ballad of Termina,” will premiere on Emberley’s YouTube channel on Sunday, January 17 at 2 p.m. EST. A promotional video for the piece can be found on his channel.

Emberley, a British composer and performer, has been a fan of The Legend of Zelda ever since the release of Ocarina of Time. After watching Nintendo’s 2011 E3 symphony presentation in celebration of the series’ 25th anniversary, Emberley’s musical interests shifted.

“I quickly started going to the Symphony of the Goddesses Concert whenever it came to the UK,” Emberley writes on his website. “It was then that I wanted to become involved in the Video Game Concert industry and make some contribution to music from another great passion of mine:  Video Gaming [sic].”

Along with Symphony of the Goddesses, Emberley has composed for multiple Final Fantasy and other Zelda related pieces. If you want to keep up to date on his work, you can follow him on Twitter.
