Fan-produced symphony ‘The Creation of Hyrule’ going live May 23, trailer released

At MAGFest 2020, composer Ben Emberley assembled an orchestra to perform something special. This orchestrated piece is called “The Creation of Hyrule,” and Emberley describes it as a “symphonic poem.” A trailer was launched on YouTube, with the full performance airing tomorrow.

‘‘In January, at MagFest, we assembled an orchestra together and performed a piece of music I wrote,” Emberley told us. “[It’s called] a ‘Symphonic Poem’ (a piece of music which tells a story), called ‘The Creation of Hyrule.’ The composition contains music from eight different Legend of Zelda soundtracks and 30 different tunes.

“This was the piece I showed to the producers of Symphony of the Goddesses to be contracted to work with them and co-write the Skyward Sword symphonic piece.”

The filmed performance will go live on YouTube tomorrow, May 23, at 5pm Eastern as a live watch party.
