Director of the Super Smash Bros. series, Masahiro Sakurai, has revealed on Miiverse that in Super Smash Bros. 4, when two consecutive attacks land on an opponent, a finishing move will always take place. The above picture displays Fox’s finishing move, a “finishing kick”, which occurs after his standard combo of two consecutive attacks is performed.

“Pic of the day. Now consecutive standard attacks will always transition into a finishing move. This is Fox’s finishing kick after his standard combo attack.”
