Sakurai unveiled this awesome shot of Lucario on Miiverse, confirming that this fighting/steel type Pokemon will be joining the Super Smash Bros. Wii U battle. Aura’s effects will also have more influence, so we can definitely expect some explosive attacks from a damaged Lucario!
He shared on Miiverse:
“The heroic Aura Pokémon, Lucario, joins the battle!! We’ve increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with.”
Update: More images after the jump, including a couple of new shots of Link. Also, Sakurai shared a follow-up message in the comment section of the Miiverse post, explaining that Lucario’s existence in the Smash series is thanks to the efforts of the production staff. -Reece
“Lucario joined the battle for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released six years ago. The production staff of Brawl worked really hard to expand the character roster–without their efforts, Lucario probably never would have joined the battle.”
