Many Legend of Zelda fans have not been quiet about their disappointment regarding the lack of  remastered soundtrack included in Ocarina of Time 3D. Although Nintendo have been generous with the game footage and screenshots,  there’s been a lack of any announcement regarding an upgrade to Ocarina of Time‘s soundtrack, leaving us to assume that the game’s audio will be unchanged from the original release.

Earlier, we reported that Mahito Yokona, one of the composers who worked on the Super Mario Galaxy series, was helping to adapt the game’s soundtrack to make the best use of the 3DS’ speakers. We are now also aware that Yokota has included one, single orchestrated song in Ocarina of Time 3D. He wouldn’t let slip where the song appears in the game, leaving it for fans to find when the game is released later this month.

Where do you think the orchestrated song will be hiding? My guess is in the opening or closing credits. Don’t forget to leave us a comment with your thoughts!

I literally have no idea where this song could be. I think it will be in a area out of the way instead of the main quest. I know nearly every song in OOT so I will probaly find it easily.

  • Lunatic

Wouldn't it be awesome if it was Hyrule Field?

    • Eric

      thats what i was thinking…

  • zeldarules

Maybe the Hyrule field main theme? :l

  • KyleLink

Let it be in a new dungeon (LIGHT TEMPLE)! *crosses fingers*

    • TheMaverickk

I'm pretty sure it's been stated already that there has been nothing added in he form of temples/dungeons.

Grezzo has even said the core concept of remaking the game is that it had to be true to the original material. Sadly I'm not counting on a new dungeon, I will say that the most new content you have to look forward to is in the Sheikah vision stones and the Boss Rush Mode.

      • GorCoronSumo

Maybe the orchestrated music will be IN Boss Rush Mode.

  • I'm guessing the credits theme…

  • cloverplayer

maybe the title screen, credits or trailer?

  • It'll probably be Hyrule field if I had to make a guess, though if I could choose which song I'd like to hear re-mastered, I'd definitely choose the epilogue/credits.

  • Google Says

    Final boss battle.

  • Xosgni

They've changed the Fire Temple Music enough times. I wouldn't be surprised to find a new Fire Temple track in this iteration of Ocarina of Time.

  • ΦΨ★Τhξ_κίηgツ★ΔΩ

I hope it is the Light Temple 🙂

  • Treesonlygrowonce

People need to stop whining, orchestration takes time, that’s going into skyward. OOT is a classic, what ain’t broke don’t fix. Gratitude, be synical over things that need improving (bugs etc) not because you didn’t get your cake and eat it to. Where is the song? possibly under a rock time to start checking all those secret locations again.

  • Nintendogrowup

oooh wow, just 1 lol wow

  • ???

I'm going to sound like a huge idiot, and I know it will never happen, but… wouldn't it be awesome if they made the Light Temple an actual temple? You wouldn't need to "rescue" the Light Sage, but instead, go through a "trial" to earn the Light Medallion. And in there would be the Unicorn Fountain with a Great Fairy that would teach you the sword beam attack! I hope it's something better than a credits song… I really hope they added SOMETHING worthwhile.

  • LinkFan

Zelda's Lullaby (not when played on the Ocarina). No doubt

  • Nayrugoddessofwisdom

It'll probably be in the credits, but I'm hoping for hyrule field.

  • Johaun348

I think it would show up in new content that wasn't in OoT before, because I like pizza.

  • zeldafan4040

Maybe it will be a totally epic Ganon theme song!

  • Becky

My guess would be when you open the door of time, its a bit short but imo that could have done with being a bit more dramatic

  • Shadowknight1

I have three guesses: 1) It could be the post-title screen demo ala Twilight Princess. 2) The final battle against Ganon. 3) The ending credits.

    title screen

  • Craig

I kinda think the trailers gives it away… The only orchestrated song is the Hyrule Field theme as the rest of the music/sounds in trailers are MIDI and that one is done by proper instruments.

  • TheMaverickk

    Personally the only places where it makes sense to have a new orchestrated track is one of the following;

    Title Screen or Ending Credits

    Hyrule Field

Simply put Hyrule Field makes sense since it's one of the most common tracks in the game. You hear it in a lot of locations. Not to mention it only plays through once during the duration of the day. It makes for an easy track choice for orchestration.

We will have to wait and see though.

  • Shadowknight1

Hyrule Field has been shown in tons of gameplay footage and it's the original style music. So no, not Hyrule field.

  • Watarimono

What ever it is, I kinda think it’ll be linked to Master Quest somehow… Or it may be the menu theme for the Sheikah Stone “Visions”.

  • Aura

It'll Probably be when you pick up the Master Sword for the first time.

  • Soeroah

Wasn't the Hyrule Field theme orchestrated in the latest trailer?

    • Shadowknight1

Actually, if you listen to it closely, it starts off as Zelda's Lullaby, goes into the Hyrule Field theme, then the classic Legend of Zelda theme(which was NOT in Ocarina of Time), and finally the theme when you draw the Master Sword.

  • PRG

Maybe the entire Master Quest will have orchestrated music.

  • Kitakee

I'm guessing it'll be the end credits, but what I think it SHOULD be is the Ganon battle. My god, that's the most epic battle ever in gaming existence. <3

  • Rojinshu

In the OoT3DS part you can hear a slightly different version of Hyrule Field Theme so it'll probably be that song.

  • LinkMasterYoda

I am going to guess either the End Credits, Title Theme, Master Sword Get, or Door of time Open CUES

  • astrofizzix

I'm guessing the song in question is the same one that's appeared in the Japanese commercials. I can't imagine the song appearing anywhere in-game, so it might appear somewhere in a menu. It would be especially nice if it were a reward unlocked for, say, beating Master Quest.

  • DoctorYou

The music is remastered, actually. Otherwise it would just be an exact midi port. Remastered does not have to equal orchestrated.

I hope it will be the credits theme. That way, after hours of playing a great classic, we'll have a fresh surprise for the ending movie, which is sort of a medli of songs from the game, anyway. Also, it would'nt be some song in the middle of the game, thus making everything to follow seem less…advanced?

  • Bamboozle

    I'll guess the final fight.

  • Manuel

I hope they make a song fo when it's night. It always annoyed me that thee is no music during night in oot.
