Although Ocarina of Time 3D is almost a direct remake of the original Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64, it is going to introduce a few new features , such as the Visions system and the Boss Challenge mode that we’ve previously posted about.

Nintendo have just released this new trailer showcasing the new game features that Ocarina of Time 3D is set to include. The first part of the trailer shows us the hint movies, or the Visions system, where players can visit one of the new Sheikah Stones in-game and find short, 3-5 second clips that point them in the right direction if they happen to get stuck. This trailer shows us Link entering the Sheikah Stone in the Temple of Time, followed by the vision titled ‘Entering the Shadow Temple’.

We also get a neat demonstration of the new system of using the touch screen for item management. The trailer shows a few segments of the Water Temple, infamous for its reliance on the Iron Boots, which can now be equipped and unequipped with one press of the touch screen. The video finishes up with a look at the new Boss Challenge mode, which shows us the Boss Challenge menu screen, followed by Link running from the fiery King Dodongo.

Out of the new features being introduced to Ocarina of Time 3D, which is your favourite? Don’t forget to let us know in the comments!
