Just because Nintendo won’t be making an appearance at CES this year doesn’t mean they’re done showing off their new products – Nintendo has apparently scheduled a 3DS preview for the media on January 19, 2011. Although it’s unknown what game(s) they’ll be showcasing, or if anything about the 3DS will be changed or different in a way we’ve yet to see, it’s bound to be Nintendo’s biggest press event since E3 2010. So who knows what Nintendo might have hiding up those sleeves of theirs?

  • If anything, I hope they release more game information–who the villain will be, what roles Adelle and Zelda play–and a new trailer.

Zeldainformer has an article about this too. Apparently they won't be showing anything about Skyward Sword, but only about 3DS games that will be released in the first half of 2011. So we're unfortunately not going to hear anything new about Skyward Sword (probably), but we will hear some interesting details about awesome 3DS games, like OoT 3D and Kid Icarus Uprising!

      • I just read over myself and it appears that the article writer, Nathan Rumphel-Janc, wasn't too sure himself. In his own words he said, "We can always be surprised," and I hope we indeed are.

But yeah, OoT 3D and Kid Icarus Uprising are the two titles I look forward to most–the next maybe being Mario Kart.

I hope so too! But I believe we will see something around that date anyway, since we will only be a few months away from SS then!

They're only doing 3DS stuff as far as I know.

Yah Kid Icarus ftw. It's only been like 25 years. I'm pretty excited for resident evil revelations though. That game looks good enough to be on the 360 lol.

I have been waiting for this for 5 months!!! yay

…….I forget, did we ever learn the American price of this thing? That's what I'm most worried about. I think I'm going to have to wait until my birthday to get it-at the end of July. The college kid leeching off his parents doesn't exactly have $300 to spare on a video game. :S

    • That's why this college kid leeching off his parents asked for mostly money for Christmas. Between Christmas and my mid-February birthday, I should hopefully have enough to buy it, especially if it's only $250 ("only" makes it sound so affordable—haha). I may have to wait a year to afford Ocarina of Time, but I can still replay my DS games and maybe get Link's Awakening (never played before) and a few movies.

I'm really hoping the price is in the range of $200 – $250. I fit's much more than that, I'll have to wait a while. BTW, does anyone know if the 3DS will come with a game??? Like Wii came with Wii Sports.
