For all of you uber Zelda fans out there who love sporting your fandom on your body, here’s something you might like: a t-shirt design by RIPT Apparel titled “The Iconography of Zelda.”  It was designed by a RIPT employee named Cory Schmitz, a graphic artist & college student.

Here’s his “Artist Bio” from the site:

Hello! My name is Cory Schmitz. I am currently working towards my BFA at Cornish College of the Arts and interning at Wexley School for Girls in Seattle, WA. My favorite things are video games and design.

Now, if you like this shirt as much as we do, you can buy it here at the RIPT site. (Hint: This might just be a good Christmas present for any Zelda fan you know!)

  • Sweet! I would totally by the for mys–I mean my friend. He's always wanted a Zelda-related shirt. xD

Now, if only I knew someone like that…

    • Hawke

      You could buy it for me… JK ;-}

      • Sorry, couldn't buy it for you anyway. It appears that the shirt only sold for one day and then was taken off the market.

Hey, does anybody remember seeing this design before? It looks a little familiar to me, and I sort of recall them featuring it before.

  • Headphoneguy

    I must have one…!

  • ChainofTermina

that looks like a really cool T shirt. I wish I could get it, but unfortunately since I have the Triforce permanently embedded into my skin, I don't really have much of a need for zelda t shirts anymore.

    • Lizzy

You can always use more Zelda!

  • swizzles!

Sadly, buying this shirt is no longer an option for anyone. RIPT's designs are available for one day only, and this shirt was for June 5th. It's too bad, too…I'd love to have one.

    • MoronOfTime

Surely you could just upload the picture on to a t-shirt printing website? Or would that be considered as theft? =

      • CorvosKK

Unfortunately that would be theft. Most legit printing places won't print copyrighted material anyways. They either have to design it themselves, or receive it from the artist.

You might be able to find a place that will do it though, as long as you only make one for yourself. I'm not really sure how it would work, or which places could print under what rules blah blah blah….

Matt17 has become a troll. He's mad because he keeps getting voted down, and for what? Pursuing an irrelevant argument. But that no longer matters to him, for so long as he keeps getting voted down he'll just avenge himself. Not that this should affect anyone's sanity. All you have to do is ignore him and he'll either leave all off or go away. So the question now begs: will he continue his lame rampage?

    • ChainofTermina

but…..he hasn't said anything here yet. where the hell did this train of thought suddenly come from?

      • dejavu

It didn't *suddenly* come from anywhere; he's been fuming for days. I don't know why, but he's the one who *suddenly* been attacking comments, and I'm trying to find out why.

        • ChainofTermina

I meant that why did you say that here, now? he hasn't attacked anyone on this post yet. shouldn't you have waited for him to actually say something on this post so your warning would've seemed more relevant? it just seemed kinda random since he hadn't done anything here yet.

          • dejavu

He went to the previous post he commented in–I believe the one about the Youtube guitarist–saw that he was rated down even more, and attacked the posts after it. Yes, he hasn't commented himself, because he likely doesn't want to be conspicuous. I said what I did to lure him out into the open. But either it didn't work or he just isn't around…not going to blame it on your arrival; you're merely curious, which is not at all a bad thing.

  • Rohan

Reading some of those comments on that shirt made me laugh, seriously, go read them.

    • CorvosKK

Yeah, I guess maybe it's because I grew up with it so much, but it still amazes me how many people don't know about the series.

  • TheMaverickk

There was a vote to bring this shirt back from the Graveyard a few days ago through a vote on Facebook and it was third in the polling. Sadly it didn't pull through… the one hope is that they bring back more then one shirt.

Since obviously it is an incredibly awesome shirt perhaps the people here on ZU can plague the company to produce more.

  • purplecovers

You can't buy this shirt. Might want to edit the newspost to include that information.

  • CorvosKK

Yeah, I ended up getting the shirt when it first came out. The way Ript works is they only have one t-shirt per day, for one day and that's it. So they while they have it on the site, the only way to get one is for you to buy it from a reseller on like ebay or something.

It would be awesome if they could start selling it again, for those peeps who couldn't get one.

    • TheMaverickk

Technically speaking the original designer holds the rights so he could submit it to other companies and websites that produce t-shirts.

I think it would be awesome if Fangamer sold this shirt.

  • QueenxLink

Aw that's really nice! Love the shirt!

  • Am I the only one confused about how a male student can attend a college “for girls”…?

  • Zelda777

I find the colors boring. If it was available in different colors then GREAT!

  • Hi, i must say fantastic site you have, i stumbled across it in AOL. Thanks!!
