Nintendo canceled Zelda Netflix series according to comedian Adam Conover

No one would have thought that around 2015 Nintendo was secretly planning alongside Netflix and College Humor to produce new shows based on The Legend of Zelda and Star Fox series.

In a recent episode of The Serf Times, a video series hosted by comedian Adam Conover, it was revealed by Conover that during his time working with College Humor, Nintendo was planning a Star Fox series with the teams. At the same time, according to Conover, Nintendo was also partnering with Netflix to create a series based on The Legend of Zelda. Conover recalled that that series’ creator Shigeru Miyamoto himself had visited the College Humor studio to finalize the plans.

According to Conover, someone at Netflix disclosing that a Legend of Zelda series was in development ultimately resulted in Nintendo abruptly canceling the plans. Conover also noted that Nintendo was extremely upset with the leak of information which resulted the cancellation of both the Star Fox and Zelda series without further notice.
