Australian clothing brand Black Milk recently collaborated with Nintendo on a Legend of Zelda line for the second time. Many of the clothing items are based off The Wind Waker, Majora’s Mask, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild, and of course Tears of The Kingdom. These beautiful pieces are crafted with the utmost care and, while pricy, will guarantee you as the coolest cat in town. I’ve purchased two items from Black Milk clothing; a Wind Waker romper and a Tears of the Kingdom Zelda robe.
The website describes this robe’s material as ‘silky light fabric’, and that’s definitely an accurate description. Princess Zelda is featured on the back of the robe holding the Master Sword and she looks fantastic. Black Milk did a great job of capturing the gaze in Zelda’s eyes. Her overall placement (in the back middle) and design creates a stunning look that is sure to be a conversation starter. It’s the perfect outfit piece for hanging out around the house or it could even be used as a cover up for a beach day.
The color choices for this robe are also a great design choice. The shades of green, black, and gold work perfectly for the Zelda series. The patterns are simple, yet make a big statement. Princess Zelda is only featured once on the back, which is interesting because the Ganondorf robe features our favorite antagonist on the back and on the right sleeve. I wonder why Princess Zelda is only featured once?
While I adore this robe, I do find it hard to wear in a practical sense due to my height of five feet one inch. The garment comes in the two sizes of small and large, and I chose the small. The robe is long and for a short person, it could be difficult to move around in. Other than that, it’s a unique piece that I can’t wait to wear for many years to come.
