The newest Zelda Musou release flew off Japanese shelves in its first week after launch.
Famitsu sales, who tracks and publishes Japanese video game sales, recently released their report for the week of November 3-9, 2025. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment released on November 6, meaning this report reflects its first few days of sales. The new hack-and-slash adventure canon to The Legend of Zelda series debuted at first place on the Japanese charts, among nine other Nintendo titles. Here are the video game software charts for that week in units:
1. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – 73,183
2. Pokemon Legends: Z-A – 54,904
3. Mario Kart World – 54,413
4. Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake – 32,682

Japanese sales data is often available earlier than other countries, like the United States. Though this data only reflects early sales data for one country, it may be a strong indicator for the game’s overall success, given the massive gaming market in Japan. More complete data will be available Tuesday, February 3, when Nintendo delivers its next financial report.
