Nintendo has released the official soundtrack for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on the Nintendo Music app, featuring both the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Famicom Disk System versions.
Both editions will take you about 16 minutes of listening time, but interestingly, the NES version offers 20 tracks while the Famicom version features 19, since the Secret Entrance track is missing from the Japanese release. It is only a 3-second melody so it’s not a huge deal, but it is worth pointing out all the same.
The Adventure of Link joins Skyward Sword, The Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, and many other original game soundtracks in the Zelda series available through this app. While a few key games are still missing (c’mon Nintendo, if you’re not gonna put Twilight Princess on Switch, at least give us that OST), the service is shaping up to be a pretty convenient way of listening to our favorite soundtracks in the franchise.
The Nintendo Music app is available to download for free but you do need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to be able to access it.
