Nintendo released a new Creator’s Voice video featuring Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and so far it looks fabulous and epic. Two Koei Tecmo developers sat down to discuss a few insights about making the game. Some minor battle footage is also shown, and wow does it run powerful and smooth!
Not much was revealed in the video regarding the lore, but there were just enough hints thrown around to get fans excited. A little more footage of Princess Zelda was shown from the scene where she meets King Rauru and Queen Sonia for the first time. No new footage of Ganondorf from Tears of the Kingdom was shown since the Switch 2 Direct. However, there were a couple mysterious mentions of him being the “original Ganondorf” and a hypothetical example of solving a puzzle “when Ganondorf summons a ball of energy.” They did confirm that the identities of the Ancient Sages from Tears of the Kingdom will finally be revealed. That in itself is significant!
Nintendo and Koei Tecmo reiterated that Age of Imprisonment is on track for a worldwide release on the Switch 2 this winter season. You can see the Creator’s Voice video in its entirety below.
