While Tears of the Kingdom is impressive in sheer scale with meaty gameplay, epic cutscenes, and massive monsters, it still contains plenty of mysteries in Hyrule that leaves many fans scratching their heads. But a new Hyrule Warriors game Age of Imprisonment might change all of that. This prequel-of-a-sequel will cover the events of the Imprisoning War that Princess Zelda witnessed in the distant past in further detail, and the legendary YouTuber Zeltik has high hopes that Age of Imprisonment could finally shed light on this murky side of Hyrulean history.
However the canon aspect of Age of Imprisonment gets interpreted, I’m thrilled we get to return to the Era of the Wild one more time even beyond the Switch. The Hyrule of this era is rich with fascinating information and insight that matured and developed in Tears of the Kingdom in ways that no other Zelda game has even dared to touch. What gets uncovered in Age of Imprisonment could be an even bigger deal than Age of Calamity.
