While Mos Espa has been the peak of the Podracing world for years, it will soon be replaced by the Geurdo Desert thanks to the amazing Podracer created by a talented Tears of the Kingdom fan.
Hailing from the Star Wars franchise, Podracing has captured the imagination of people all over the world since it first appeared in 1999’s The Phantom Menace. Podracing is a fictional sport where competitors race through extremely dangerous tracks at incredibly high speeds. The intense, high-stakes thrills of Podracing means the sport is well suited to be adapted in video game form, with its most recent appearance being in the 2022 Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. But now a creative fan has managed to replicate the famous Podracers in Tears of the Kingdom.
While the Gerudo Desert has been participating in the tradition of Sand Seal racing for generations, new fast-paced Podracers would certainly bring a new level of speed and excitement to the traditional races around the expansive desert. Blink and you’ll miss these amazing Ultra Hand Podracers created by @saiotoko002.
Even well over a year after the initial launch of Tears of the Kingdom the creative uses of its mechanics never stop being impressive. In fact, Saiotoko002 themselves have already caught the attention of Zelda fans when they created the game’s longest object. With all the crazy constantly new ways Ultra Hand is being used, it can almost be questioned if there is a limit to what is achievable in Tears of the Kingdom.
