Polygon launching new weekly series called Zeldathon

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is releasing on May 12, 2023 and the hype is starting to take over. So much so that popular gaming news site, Polygon, will be launching a new series this week called Zeldathon, covering the franchise’s past leading up to the release of the highly anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel.

We can expect content such as re-reviews, features discussing the games’ influence on the industry as a whole, and much more. It will be a weekly series and will continue throughout the entire year, even after the release of Tears of the Kingdom.

As a side note, you may be thinking “Zeldathon? isn’t that the charity event?” Yes, that is the name of a fan-run charity series. Polygon has yet to speak about why this name was chosen.

As we approach the upcoming title’s launch, it will be interesting to see if more content like this is planned from other well-known outlets and creators, but this is definitely a great way to hold fans over until then.
