The wait is finally over! The prototype of Good Smile Company’s highly detailed Figma posable figurine of Ganondorf from Tears of the Kingdom is complete, and the figurine is available for preorder in the United States and Canada. Much like Link’s Figma set, various parts are included with Ganondorf to help replicate scenes from the game, or create your own epic poses to show off the dastardly Gerudo King in action. Standing tall at 7.48 inches / 190 millimeters, he’s the perfect sparring companion for the Figma Link on your display shelf.
Priced at a fairly reasonable $84.99 USD, Ganondorf comes with a fun variety of goodies that will delight Zelda fans. These include his Gloom weapons, various hands for different poses, and three swappable faces, one of which is his unmistakably creepy laughing face that became an overnight meme sensation once a certain Tears of the Kingdom cutscene made its mark on the internet. The latter part is affectionately called “Goading Face” in Good Smile’s parts listing.
Speaking of parts, here is the proper accessory list included with Ganondorf’s set:
- Gloom Sword with detachable Scabbard
- Gloom Spear
- Demon King’s Bow
- Single arrow
- Gloom effect attachment for the arrow
- Various hands with different poses
- Standard Face
- Shouting Face
- Goading Face
- Clear figure stand
It is not known if a Deluxe Set for Ganondorf is planned in the future at this time. It is a possibility, as Link can be purchased in both the Standard and Deluxe Figma Sets. A prototype of Princess Zelda from Tears of the Kingdom was shown earlier this year, but there is no further news of her at this time. Preorders for Ganondorf are open on Good Smile’s website for a limited time until September 5. Once ordered, he will be shipped sometime between Winter 2024 and early 2025 next year. That’s plenty of time for fans to figure out a suitable ominous lair for his Majesty. When he comes, get ready for a king’s revival because you definitely won’t want to look away.
