EXCLUSIVE: Demon King Ganondorf may be related to trains, new study finds

The Depths Research department of the Zonai Survey Team has made a groundbreaking discovery about the source of the Upheaval event. From what we had previously known, the awakening of an ancient evil known as the Demon King Ganondorf was responsible for the Upheaval happening in Hyrule. But thanks to the discovery made by Josha, Head of Depths Research, there might have been not just one Demon King, but two.

“We know that Gerudo legend states there was an ancient male Gerudo king known as Ganondorf thousands of years ago,” said Josha, “and this Ganondorf transformed into the Demon King. But we had no idea he was actually related to a train! In fact, our Depths research indicates there was another Demon King known as Malladus who is even older. He took on the form of an ancient machine called a train, and he had red hair just like Ganondorf. What a discovery! It makes perfect sense, don’t you think? I can’t wait to publish the full report in the Lucky Clover Gazette.”

“Demon King? Secret Stone? Trains???” Chief Riju exclaimed, spitting out her Noble Pursuit all over her bodyguard Buliara in the process. “That’s impossible,” stated Rotana, Head of Royal Gerudo Archeology. “Though he turned into the Demon King, Ganondorf was originally a Gerudo. To say that he is related to a train is to say the same for the entire Gerudo race. We are not related to machines! With all due respect, perhaps the blood doesn’t flow through Josha’s brain. Must be tragic for her, to say the least.”

Lookout Landing citizens speculate that the rising strains between the Gerudo and the Hylians may prompt Princess Zelda to make plans to meet the Gerudo herself to smooth over the matter, but the Royal Family hasn’t confirmed at this time. Josha’s full report is scheduled to be published in the Lucky Clover Gazette next week.
