Are you so tired and bored with peaceful times in Hyrule that you can’t wait to “squadallah” to a new adventure? Well fellow gamers, your time to rejoice will soon arrive. The new independent game Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore was revealed in this year’s IndieLand showcase, and it looks awfully familiar to Zelda fans. That’s because it’s inspired by the infamous Zelda CDI games. It’s being developed by Seth Fulkerson and Limited Run Games, who are known for their quality limited run productions and distributions of physical indie game copies. As the name implies, their supplies are limited. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Arzette: The Jewel of Faremore features hand painted backgrounds by Rob Dunlavey, who was also the artist behind the Zelda CDI games too. It even features cheeky lines voiced by the original voice actors Jeffrey Rath and Bonniejean Wilbur from Zelda CDI. Don’t worry, the game has miraculously preserved all of the campy humor minus the cringe. The release date comes just in time for you and your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day February 14, 2024. Make sure you’re ready to purchase a copy as long as you have enough rubies.
