The Nintendo Switch is a boon for indie game developers, with many seeing more sales on the hybrid console versus their releases on other platforms. Part of this may be contributed to Nintendo’s focus on indies during E3, as well as additional presentations throughout the year, that introduces gamers to new experiences often overshadowed by bigger releases.
Another such presentation will premiere this Monday, August 19, at 6am PST/9am EST. Nintendo promises “roughly 20 minutes of information on indie games” coming to the Switch. The “#IndieWorld video showcase” will be livestreamed, but if you miss it no doubt you’ll be able to catch up on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.
The last indie game of considerable note was Cadence of Hyrule — a Legend of Zelda and Crypt of the Necrodancer crossover. Could we see a new collaboration with Nintendo this time? We can only wait and see.
