Indie adventure game A Short Hike now available on Nintendo eShop

During today’s’ Indie World showcase, Nintendo put the spotlight on various indie games making their way to the Nintendo Switch. One game that caught our attention here at Zelda Universe is A Short Hike, an adventure game with visuals similar to Phantom Hourglass. Developed by adamgryu, the game’s primary objective is to reach the summit of a mountain in hopes of getting cellphone reception.

At a glance, the game looks like a Rito simulator. The bird-like Zelda creatures soar through the skies, and you’ll be able to do the same in this charming little adventure.

A Short Hike launched on PC in July of last year, receiving positive reception for its relaxing gameplay and flying mechanics. The game focuses on exploration, allowing the player to trail off and discover treasure and much more.

If you’re interested in giving this charming game a go, you won’t need to wait long. A Short Hike is available now on the Nintendo Switch eShop, alongside other indie games that were announced during today’s showcase.
