Aonuma confirms Tears of the Kingdom will not have DLC in Famitsu interview

In a recent interview with Famitsu, Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma and series Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi denied any DLC being planned for development for Tears of the Kingdom.

When asked about what comes next for the series, Aonuma said that they currently have no plans to release additional content for the 2023 game. With Tears of the Kingdom the team felt like they could provide a unique experience in the world of Breath of the Wild for players once again, but now they feel that limit has been reached and are ready to move on to whatever comes next.

Fuijibayashi and Aonuma also state how expectations for the Zelda series are higher than ever, and that they want to surpass them once again.

While not seeing more content out of the latest Zelda game might be a bummer, it is exciting to look forward to whatever the team at Nintendo has in store for players around the world next.
