Are you looking for something video game related to relax with? Something specifically from The Legend of Zelda to relive some memories, since the series offers some of the most iconic music in gaming? Then, look no further. JackSquare‘s banjo cover of the Lost Woods from Ocarina of Time can scratch those itches all at the same time.
Before listening, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The only experience I have (that I can recall) listening to banjos being played is from Banjo-Kazooie, which has a different sound than what JackSquare has created. His cover doesn’t just use a banjo, though. He adds depth to the song using guitars, some percussion, and a keyboard to tie it all together.
The whole piece is calming and not quite as loud as the original. It is certainly worthy of being added to any playlist you might have, whether that be for work, study, or just music to listen to on shuffle.
