Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes announced during latest Nintendo Direct

Nintendo kicked off the latest Nintendo Direct today by debuting Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, a new Musou title by Koei Tecmo that takes us back to the world of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It’s the second hack and slash Warriors title in the Fire Emblem franchise, following the 2017 original for the Nintendo Switch and 3DS, and the first console Fire Emblem release since Three Houses launched in the summer of 2019.

Fan favorite characters like Dimitri, Claude, Edelgard, Byleth, and others were featured prominently in the trailer, alongside some new faces as well. Although specific story details were withheld, Three Hopes appears to be an alternate retelling of Three Houses’ grandiose narrative, similar to how Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity presented a “what if?” account of the conflict that played out prior to Breath of the Wild. Whatever the tale that unfolds, Three Hopes promises a new look into the land of Fodlan complete with a familiar cast, kingdom-wide warfare, and sweeping battles against both hordes of enemy soldiers and gigantic Demonic Beasts like those we battled in Three Houses.

Fire Emblem fans won’t have to wait long to play the game, either. Three Hopes was announced as releasing on June 24th, just a few short months away. A limited edition has already been confirmed for Europe, which includes an art book, a map, among other collectibles.
