New information shared about Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda

On the morning of November 5, Nintendo shared an article about the Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda, and the post is stuffed full of little secrets and tidbits about the watch and timer functionality.

Among the features shown off was of course the playable 12-hour clock that will feature scenes from the original The Legend of Zelda. However, where players should really pay attention is when all numbers on the clock are the same. Those lucky timekeepers just might get to see a special event occur! On the other end of luck, players who stay up until midnight will get to fight Ganon. Talk about one crazy blood moon.

The Game & Watch will also include a playable short timer that is themed after The Adventure of Link. The timer can be set up to 10 minutes on its three stages and ends with Link gaining the Triforce. The timer will also feature a time attack mode where Link can test to see how fast he can defeat 21 enemies.

Finally, the website details quality of life changes from the Mario Game & Watch that was released last year. These include being able to turn off the clock sounds while playing and being able to turn off the auto-sleep function to create a tabletop clock. These new features should make the experience with the clock a lot more manageable and versatile.

In addition to this update, Nintendo also released brand-new websites for The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and Link’s Awakening. These sites include awesome artwork as well as information on the development and localization of the classic games. Each site can be accessed by clicking on the respective name above.

The Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda will be releasing on November 12, so be sure to check out the full post by Nintendo, as well as the three websites!
