If you order the upcoming Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda from Nintendo UK’s online store, it comes with a free gift of a similarly themed microfiber cloth. (It’s spelled “microfibre” in the U.K., which my spellchecker says is wrong. Sorry, U.K.!)
The cloth sports an image of the Game & Watch device you’ll be preordering as well as the everlasting phrase: “It’s dangerous to go alone, take this!” As someone who wears glasses and hates smudges, this might be the most accurate use of this phrase for me outside of a Zelda game.
In case you’re wondering what this device is: Nintendo made this little Game & Watch similar to the Mario one it made last year. Game & Watch was Nintendo’s first foray into portable gaming all the way back in 1980 and featured LCD screens and simple games. This new Zelda edition features four games: a reskin of the original Game & Watch Vermin, The original Legend of Zelda, Link’s Adventure, and the original Link’s Awakening.
