Even though fans are still patiently waiting for a release date for the Breath of the Wild sequel, Amazon and Best Buy have already made the anticipated title available for preorder on their websites!
It is unknown why the two retailers chose to open up preorders at this time, as preorders typically open up alongside a Nintendo Direct presentation or other such official announcements. However, given how in the past month Nintendo has aired a general Nintendo Direct, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation, and an Animal Crossing Direct, it seems highly unlikely that any more news will be coming soon.
Regardless of why the preorders are open, this is a great opportunity to secure a copy of the next big Zelda game and shows that retailers are moving forward in preparation for the release!
