Ocarina of Time speedrunning has been done so much that sometimes it seems like nothing can give the game a breath of fresh air. Well, GamesDoneQuick’s Challenger Approaching and RunnerGuy2489 have a new type of challenge for runners to try.
RunnerGuy2489 showcases a no-hit run of Ocarina of Time. “No-Hit” is essentially an even more rigid version of “No-Damage”; in order for a player to complete a perfect No-Hit run, they are not allowed to take fall damage, use invincibility frames, use dodging attacks, or shield to prevent damage. All of that, of course, without being damaged by an enemy. Whew. No pressure.
The stream is full of the commentary that regular watchers of the GDQ channel will love. RunnerGuy also wears a heart rate monitor to show just how stressful the game can get sometimes. It’s a long video, clocking in at almost six hours, but it is definitely worth a watch.
