Nintendo had plenty in store for Zelda fans at this year’s E3 Direct presentation. Following up on our reaction video to the Nintendo Direct from earlier this year, some of us at Zelda Universe decided to once again document our reactions to the E3 2021 announcements.
Not only were fans treated to extensive Zelda news, including a new trailer for the Breath of the Wild sequel, new information about the recently released Age of Calamity DLC, and a Zelda-themed Game & Watch collectible, we were also surprised by a Ganondorf cameo in the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character reveal trailer and the announcement of a brand new entry in the Metroid series (much to resident Metroid fan Elias Thompson’s palpable excitement).
