Award season is right around the corner and the nominees are rolling out. The 32nd annual GLAAD Media Awards announced the 10 games that present the outstanding representation they look for.
Most notably, the Zelda-like Immortals Fenyx Rising is among the pack for “Outstanding Video Game.” Immortals features many dialogue options that focus on LGBTQ+ characters, such as Zeus being attracted to Achilles.
The full list includes Assassin’s Creed Valhalla; Borderlands 3: Guns, Love, and Tentacles; Bugsnax; Hades (also available on the Switch); If Found…; Ikenfell, The Last of Us Part II (which has already garnered massive praise in the LGBTQ+ community); Tell Me Why; and World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
The GLAAD Media Awards honor “fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community and the issues that affect their lives.” You can check out the whole list of nominees in all categories in the link above.
