Nintendo has recently been dealing with issues involving companies and websites that are selling software that would enable users to illegally download Switch games. This has been specifically occurring in Spain where certain websites have been allowing individuals to download pirated Switch titles.
Two court cases were filed on the behalf of Nintendo, both of which Nintendo won, and enabled the blocking of these websites. Nintendo is owed repayment due to any potential damages that were incurred.
Nintendo issued the following statement regarding to the situation: “Nintendo initiates these actions not only in its own name, but also on behalf of the more than 2,000 video game developers who depend on legitimate sales of Nintendo Switch video games for their livelihood.”
