New video discusses possible aliens in Breath of the Wild

Aliens are nothing new to the Zelda series, with the most notable appearance of them being in Majora’s Mask. However, theorist MaskedNintendoBandit believes that extraterrestrial beings were also present in Breath of the Wild. While this claim may seem a little far-fetched, the argument is fairly convincing.

Early concept art for the game shows that developers played with the idea of putting aliens in the game before ultimately decided against them — at least the more mainstream version of them. The type of alien that inhabits Breath of the Wild’s Hyrule didn’t arrive on a spaceship and (most likely) has no plans of abducting cows. They can be found across Hyrule, proving how adaptable their kind can be to a new planet. The species in question is none other than the Stone Talus.

MaskedNintendoBandit came to this conclusion upon investigating the Gisa Crater located on the western edge of the map in the Tabantha Frontier. In the middle of the largest crater in the area is a Stone Talus, leading the theorist to believe it was the source of impact that caused the sizable hole. In the smaller craters, players can find Stone Pebblits, which are younger versions of the Stone Talus as stated by the Hyrule Compendium. Ruling out Death Mountain as their possible origin, the theorist concludes they must have come from the stars.
