Zelda-style roguelite, Moonlighter, to release DLC to consoles on its second anniversary

Moonlighter, the Zelda-inspired roguelite game from Digital Sun, will be getting a new DLC expansion: Between Dimensions.

While you can read our review of the base game for more information, the general premise of the game is that you are a shopkeeper who ventures into portals to gather things to sell in your shop. The catch is that these portals lead to a dungeon that reconfigures itself each time you enter it. The dungeons have a very similar layout feel to The Legend of Zelda in that each room takes up a single screen, but the visuals and gameplay fall more in line with later Zelda games.

The new Between Dimensions expansion adds a new dungeon in addition to the original game’s assorted dungeons but also includes additions to the existing dungeons as well. This includes new weapons, armor, shop items, and rings. There is also a new story that takes place after the main campaign along with new features that relate specifically to the new dungeon. It adds new ways you can utilize the new items found within along with a chance for the new dungeon to show up as Corrupted Dungeon in the base dungeons as well.

Between Dimensions is already available on Steam and will be available on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on May 29, 2020.
