Windbound was released at the end of last month on August 28, and publisher Deep Silver has released two dev diary videos.
The first diary, released last week, focuses on the game’s music, which sees composer Zander Hulmes talking about his experience creating the sound effects and soundtrack.
Another, more recent video takes a deep dive into the game’s environment. Brent Waller, the games environmental artist, discusses his approach to developing the game’s world. He also dives into the game’s procedural mechanics, and how they work.
Windbound takes a lot of inspiration from the likes of The Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild. The game focuses on exploration across land and sea, with some survival-like elements. If you’re interested in playing Windbound, it is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
