On March 3rd, 2017, the world was rocked by the release of both the Nintendo Switch console and its premier launch title, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In the three years since then, fans have poured hundreds, even thousands of hours into the game, exploring, experimenting or simply appreciating. This is one of those games in which the possibilities are endless—especially when one has the patience to complete their objective.
One fan found the perfect way to celebrate this revolutionary game’s third birthday. Twitter user usapanda_G recently showed off a massive collection of glittering weapons, ranging from Stone Smashers to Lynel bows to Royal Guard’s Swords. The weapons are arranged very intentionally, and usapanda_G uses the popular infinite jump glitch to give a top-down perspective of the art piece. It portrays the familiar Breath of the Wild “Z” and Silent Princess combination, along with a Triforce and the words “BotW 3rd Anniversary.”
The sheer scale of the mosaic and the amount of time it must have taken to organize those weapons blows me away. It truly shows that Breath of the Wild has brought so much joy and inspiration to so many people, and it’s wonderful to see the fans give back with their dedication and creativity.
