Nintendo has confirmed that more missions and rewards are being added to Nintendo Switch Online. This month, they’ve added custom profile icons for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and new ones for Animal Crossing in the Switch Online point shop. This initiative was introduced in February, which allows subscribers to complete specific challenges to earn Platinum Points.
To access these items, simply open the Nintendo Switch Online hub while on the menu screen and click on “Missions & Rewards”. The Breath of the Wild collection includes the Triforce, Link & Zelda, Daruk, a Guardian, Purah, and everyone’s favorite: Steak!
According to Nintendo, this is only “Wave 1”, and is promising that available icon elements will be updated weekly. If you’re after any of these, it’s probably wise to collect them now. The Animal Crossing collection is also available, which features residents with birthdays in June.
Hopefully, Nintendo will start to release similar icons for other Zelda games, such as Majora’s Mask and maybe even The Wind Waker.
