Yuga’s Art Gallery: A fresh new take on Zelda

Ever since I first picked up Breath of the Wild two years ago, I could hardly wait to see what future installments would look like for the franchise. I enjoyed this game so thoroughly that I even began to fantasize about what this new, immersive world would look like with different quests and adventures to explore.

So, you can imagine my excitement when the teaser was released and I discovered there was going to be a sequel to Breath of the Wild. I cheered so loudly when it happened because I couldn’t think of anything better than being able to explore what remains of Hyrule with Link and Zelda.

But what struck me the most about the teaser was Zelda’s hair. I noticed it was shorter — and I loved it, with every fiber of my being. Which leads me to today’s featured piece of artwork.

This piece was done by TheArtOfVero, an extremely talented artist with a love for Legend of Zelda. Out of all the pieces of artwork I sorted through this week, I kept finding myself being drawn to this illustration. The art style that TheArtOfVero uses is just breathtaking, and it really brings Zelda to life with that little blush of color streaked across her cheeks. Short-haired Zelda is so darn cute, and I feel like the artist captured that perfectly.
