In an unexpected (but not entirely surprising) turn of events, Nintendo has launched an official Amazon page for merchandise and apparel. The announcement of the site’s launch came from a recent tweet from Nintendo of America.
The site, which bears Nintendo’s official Seal of Quality, features apparel, accessories, and various other forms of merchandise from Nintendo’s most popular franchises, such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing.
In addition to merchandise, Nintendo fans can also purchase games and hardware, such as the Link’s Awakening remake and Nintendo Switch systems. Retro-themed merch is also available for purchase, including socks, travel mugs, and t-shirts with vintage Nintendo product designs. As of right now, amiibo are conspicuously absent from the store lineup. Hopefully, their exclusion is only temporary and we’ll see them appear in this new store soon.
